The Singapore Government chose UNSW to
establish its first foreign university, citing its
leading international reputation and long history
of engagement with Asia.

offshore campus and the first wholly owned
research and teaching institution to be
established overseas by an Australian university.
UNSW Asia has many distinctive features.
In the near future students will have the opportunity to move between
Sydney and Singapore as part of their studies;
there will be a range of double-degrees available
which can be completed in five years; and research
centres will underpin the work of academic
clusters.
The campus will be international in scope, with
at least 70 percent of the student population
drawn from Asia and around the world, and up to 30
percent from Singapore. Applications for admission
opened in January 2006 and further information can
be found at www.unswasia.edu.sg/.
